Schmied Via Ferrata Gosau
Via ferrata for advanced climbers with a fantastic panorama
Mountain lovers can simply hang out and enjoy the extensive Gosau Valley on the Schmied via ferrata in the Gosau Valley. The intermediate via ferrata is west-facing and therefore offers a pleasant coolness for climbing, especially in the morning and mid-morning hours. The almost 2.5-hour tour starts about 15 minutes' walk from the "Gosauschmied" car park and the guesthouse of the same name. The path to the starting point, which leads across the Gosau reservoir, is well signposted. The "Gosauschmied" car park in Hintertal is the perfect place to park your vehicle.
Finale above the reservoir
At the end of this climbing tour await the unfortunately no longer open Bäralm. From here, a narrow path leads through colourful flower meadows down into the valley to the Gosau reservoir and the starting point of our climbing tour - the Gosauschmied guesthouse.
