Free to Enjoy over 50 kilometres

Whether you prefer skating or classic cross country ski tracks, whether you prefer to ski in the early morning or in the afternoon. Cross country skiing in Bad Goisern on Lake Hallstatt has its own special charm – whatever the time of day. A network of around 50 kilometres of perfectly groomed trails awaits you on Lake Hallstatt. All routes are prepared daily and are available free of charge. The starting points to the trails are within easy reach by car, bus or on foot - depending on your accommodation.

The circuits range from easy to challenging and offer unique views over the Goisern valley to Lake Hallstatt and the Dachstein massif. Therefore they are perfect for beginners, intermediates and professionals! And for those who prefer to take it easier we recommend that valley trail in the St. Agatha district of Bad Goisern.

 With us you will find your own pace, technique and always the right track. For those who wish to travel without cross-country skis - this is also not a problem. Local hire shops such as Sport Zopf in Bad Goisern will be more than happy to equip you with the correct equipment.

Whether a beginner or professional there are routes to suit all, the routes are divided in degrees of four starting from "easy" to "difficult".n environmental friendly bus can transport you to the panorama. From 25th December to 6th January and from 31st January until 21st February there a shuttle bus for cross country skier's hikers and other skiers. All have a convincing argument to keep there own cars at home.
